It is crazy to me how much development really seems to take off and this age.
Communication and comprehension start exploding,
Coordination magically happened over night,
And suddenly I have a full fledged toddler!
Sleeping
We are in the middle of a doozy of a sleep regression.
At least a couple nights a week Logan wakes up and won't fall back asleep for hours.
It doesn't matter what we do he just screams on and off for 2-3 hours.
Lets just say everyone is exhausted!
He is still taking one nap a day it was about two hours but thanks to his sleeping troubles it can be as short as 45 minutes.
Anyone know how long this lasts?
We're losing our minds over here!
Eating
Logan has definitely asserted his toddler independence in the food department.
He can be quite finicky about what he'll eat.
He hates lunch meat, eggs, and other meat that isn't smothered in sauce.
Logan loves sauce!
Fruit, bread, crackers, and cheese are some of his favorites.
He also has gone through this funny phase where he wants to finish Jake's plate even though it has the exact same food as his.
Monkey see, monkey do!
He loves to eat (as long as he can pick the food) and follows me around all day asking for a snack!
Communication
He is really making more of an effort to talk.
He knows most animal sounds.
His most used words are: Mom, Dad, Nana, Papa, Jenna, Jake, apple, milk, bowl, spoon, more, drink, snack, dip, ball, blanket, taggie, on, sleep sack, up, down, night night, bye, hi, boo, yes and no.
He tries to say most words but not all of them are distinguishable.
He loves to sing and will make nonsense sounds while you sing.
He can sing the "EIEIO" part from Old McDonald (his favorite song) and the first line of "Row, row, row your boat"
Some of his other favorite songs are "Once there was a snowman," "Wheels on the Bus," "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam," and "Jumbo Elephant."
Playing
He loves cars, trucks, and balls.
He always wants to be doing what Jake is doing.
He loves to cook play food in his kitchen.
This kid is a climber!
He managed to climb up onto our new bar stools without any help!
He loves to wrestle.
He is starting to sit still for more books which is nice.
He especially enjoys books about animals or lift the flap books.
He is a busy body and is always on the move.
He loves his grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
He has major meltdowns whenever they leave and will walk around the house calling for them.
He is starting to show interest in coloring, especially if stickers are involved.
He still loves to be held and is definitely a snuggler!
He loves to wander and explore.
He was doing great in nursery until Jake moved to Sunbeams and now he is having a rough time.
I'm hoping once he starts sleeping again this will work itself out.
He now has his one-year-old molars and canine teeth.
He is our energetic, independent, cuddle boy and we love him!
