JLC:: 3 Months

Sleeping
Most nights Jaylee is only waking up once to eat.
Usually it is around 2-4am.
She is going down for bed without any fighting and I can lay her down awake for naps.

She is taking 3-4 naps each day.
Most of them are only 45 minutes - 1 hour in length.
However she will usually do one 2 hour nap each day.

Feeding
She is nursing 6-7 times a day (7 if she wakes up more than once at night)
She is a fast and efficient eater.
She won't eat well if she is feed before 2.5 hours since her last feeding.
She usually goes 2.5-3 hours between feeds.

Playing
She loves her bath!
We had to ditch the baby tub this month because she started kicking in the bath and it was splashing too much.

She is smiling, laughing, and cooing.
She likes to make a fake cough sound.

She is getting stronger on her tummy and will hold her head up more.
She kicks her legs and tries to pull them underneath her while on her tummy.

She is getting more coordinated and can grab toys and bring them to her mouth.

JLC:: A Name and A Blessing

This was the most unique baby blessing we've ever had thanks to COVID.
We kept it small and simple but Jaylee received a beautiful blessing.

My parents and Jenna had flown in for the week and then we had the entire Calder Clan over.
Everyone wore masks and we did it in our home with a member of the Bishopric listening in via skype.
We didn't have a luncheon after so that we could all keep our distance.

Jaylee was so sweet and calm and even fell asleep for pictures.
We are so lucky to have her in our family.
I can't wait to see the person she grows up to be!

Fourth of July

We had a full house for the Fourth of July again this year.
My parents and Jenna were visiting.

The day was low key just playing with family.
Jacob was the only kid that woke up for fireworks this year.

While my family was here they took the kids to the cabin for a day trip.
They had so much fun hiking, playing outside and swimming in the river.
It was the perfect kind of summer day!
