JPC:: 2 Months

I couldn't choose just one picture.  What can I say I'm obsessed with this little guy!

Dear Jacob,
Well 2 months are in the books.
I am in awe at how fast you've grown and how much you've learned.
You have discovered your hands.
You can now swat at objects.
You talk all the time!
You smile whenever your dad and I look at you.

You're are up to 14 pounds and in 3-6 month clothes.
It is definitely a work out to carry you around.

This month you have protested sleeping in your carseat unless we are driving in the car or swinging you around in it.
You pretty much refuse to sleep anywhere that isn't your bed.
Let's just say church has become quite a struggle.

Baths are still one of your favorite things.
Your face lights up as soon as your feet touch the water.
Now that your tub fits on our bathroom counter you like to watch yourself in the mirror.

You now sleep a stretch of at least 5 hours every night.
Some nights you go as long as 8!
I think I may actually have some full nights of sleep in my future.
You love your crib.

During the day you go 2-3 hours between feedings.
You've become more alert while you nurse.
I love looking down and seeing you stare up at me.
You sure know how to make my heart melt.

Jacob I love you so much and feel so blessed to be your mom.

Love,
Mom

The Big Move

Okay so really this move was a cake walk after our move to Madison.
Ryan was great and sold a lot of our stuff ahead of time.
My parents were super heros.
My mom was like the energizer bunny and cleaned our apartment in record time.
My dad has magical skills and was able to fit everything into our truck.
Jake won the baby of the year award and slept during all of the truck loading, unloading, and the drive to Oak Creek.
Ryan took care of most of the logistics since I swear I haven't gotten my brain back.
We also had some awesome friends come and help with the loading and cleaning.
The biggest moving accomplishment was fitting  the Love Sac into its original bag!  That took us an entire Saturday afternoon.
Now we get to begin our lives as "grown ups."
No school.
Real job
and a kid.
The plus side is a real job means a serious upgrade in apartment amenities.
Built in microwave
Dishwasher
In apartment washer and dryer
CENTRAL AIR!
Attached garage
Fireplace
Two bathrooms
and a guest room
All we need now is guests to fill that room.
Any takers?
We promise to show you the best Milwaukee has to offer.
I'll even sweeten the deal by telling you we live 5 minutes from a great beach.
The fresh water ocean awaits!

Final Days in Madison

Ryan and I were both so sad to leave Madison.
We really enjoyed our time there.
Thankfully we are only an hour and a half away so we can visit often.

We tried to take advantage of our last couple of weeks in Madison.
Well as much as you can with a new baby and being so sleep deprived.
Our last Saturday we went to the farmers market.
I have to admit after like 20 minutes we were exhausted so we headed home and took an afternoon nap!

We also went to the Arboretum when Ryan's parents were in town.
It was the perfect time to go because everything was in bloom.
The whole place smelled like lilacs.
It was pure bliss!
The most amazing "popcorn popping" tree ever!
