McGowan Visit

The wonderful family that I used to nanny for came up for a visit on Saturday.
Ben was absolutely smitten with Logan and loved holding him.

They were so sweet to bring these animals for the boys.

Jake claimed the dog and named him Loulee.
We are blessed to have such amazing friends!

Adult Happenings

This blog is pretty much a tribute to my kids but occasionally Ryan and I have something happen that is worth writing about.

We both received new callings in our church.
Ryan is now on the high council and is over all of the Ward Mission Leaders in the Stake.
I am now the Young Women's President in our ward.
Needless to say our Sundays are very busy!
We have to do a lot of coordinating to make sure we can both fulfill our assignments and take care of the boys.

We have also been introduced to the less glamorous side of home-ownership.
We've spent a lot of Saturdays lately working on less than desirable home projects like:
fixing a lawn mower,
cutting out rotted wood out from under the siding above the garage,
and scraping the wax ring off of the bottom of the toilet so we could replace it when the toilet started leaking.
And yes I actually did that last one! (I feel so handy now)
I'm so grateful for our house but a home sure is a lot of work.

Other than that we are just immersed in raising two little boys and loving it!

Doors Open Milwaukee

Ryan found out about this great event Milwaukee does every year to encourage tourism in your own city.
Businesses throughout Milwaukee open their doors and give tours for free.
Most of the sites aren't usually open to the public so it was a fun experience.
We were able to squeeze in two sites between feedings and naps.
We went to the US Bank which is the tallest building in Wisconsin and to the Basilica.
We had so much fun and the kids were troopers!

LRC:: 3 Months

Life is so wonderful with you in our family.
You are so sweet and smiley
I love that you give me a smile whenever you catch me looking at you.
I can't believe you are three months old.
Time goes so fast!

Sleeping
Logan started sleeping through the night every night at the beginning of September!
A few nights he wakes up but he just wants his pacifier and then will go back to sleep.
Naps are still pretty inconsistent in length (45 minutes- 2.5 hours) and frequency.
We shoot for 3 naps a day.  Two of those are pretty short but I can usually get the long one to match up with Jake's which make me happy!

Feeding
Logan eats five times a day (2.5-3.5 hours apart).
He is so funny and will not eat at all if he's not hungry.
No snacking for this little guy!

Playing
Logan will no longer lay content on his belly while sucking his thumb.
He has gotten too strong so he just holds his head up and when he gets tired he keeps it up and cries.

He is still super smiley and loves to chat.

He loves being held, especially when he is getting sleepy.

He has some power legs and loves to kick.
Especially when he gets excited!

He has warmed up to baths and I think he actually enjoys them now.

Logan giggled for the first time this month.
All I had to do was makes some weird sounds which I've had a lot of practice at!

I love watching you play win your brother.
He loves to give you hugs, sing you songs, and read you books.
