The Big 30

Since 30 is such a big birthday I planned a big surprise for Ryan.
It took months of planning and coordination but it was totally worth it.
I booked a salmon fishing charter on Lake Michigan for him and coordinated with his dad, brother, and friend from high school to make sure they could be there too!
The guys had a great time and came home with quite the haul.

Our friends and family were troopers to put up with all the showings we had that weekend but hopefully they had a great time.
We showed them around Milwaukee and spent a day in Chicago.
We finally got to do the architectural boat tours and it is by far my favorite thing to do in Chicago.

We had a wonderful weekend and it was a great wrap up to our time in Wisconsin!

LRC:: 12&13 Months

Sleeping
No real change here.
He is still taking two 1.5 hour naps and sleeping about 12 hours at night.
He has started to play with Jake at night though.
He'll throw his taggie out and Jake will throw it back in.
Logan loves this and just giggles!

Feeding
This kid still knows how to eat!
Usually he out eats Jake.
He has had some picky phases where he doesn't eat anything but after a few days he is back to eating what we're eating.
He still loves bread, pizza, spaghetti, and fruit (especially watermelon).

Playing
This kid is not one for sitting and quietly playing with toys.
Toys entertain him for about a minute and then he needs to be on the move.
He loves to explore, climb and play with anything that isn't a toy.

He is a champ at going up and down stairs.
He cruises down the stairs with so much speed!
He also just barely figured out how to turn around at the top so he can go down by himself.

He isn't' walking and doesn't really like to walk around holding our fingers.
I think it is because he is so fast at crawling he doesn't see a need to walk.
He will furniture cruise and can stand briefly without holding onto anything.

He loves to take things in and out of containers,
look at books by himself (don't you dare sit down and try to read it to him!),
look at lights and turn them on and off,
take silverware out of the dishwasher,
and wrestle!

He loves his brother and just wants to do what Jake is doing.
Jake isn't always so keen on this but they have been getting better and playing together.

Everything still goes directly into his mouth.
He loves to play with the the play food and has started pretend play.
He'll stir in a bowl and drink from cups.

He is finally starting to like being outside.
I think now that he can crawl around and explore it is so fun for him.

He is a total mama's boy!
He is always chasing me around begging to be picked up.

Logan has 8 teeth and is getting is two top molars.
