Thanksgiving

We hosted my parents for Thanksgiving this year.
It was nice not to have to travel!
We spent the day eating, playing football, watching football, and eating some more.
We also spent a lot of time playing our new game Code Names.
It was great to have them here even though it was a short trip!

First Snow

Jake was so excited about the first snow of the season that he had all of us dressed and out in the snow by 8am!
He kept asking "Mom, do you want to build a snowman?" (Thank you Frozen)
We practically had to drag him in after an hour when it was just too cold o stay out longer.
He would giggle anytime and snowball hit the ground and said snow tasted just like the little ice that Nana shares with him.

LRC:: 4 & 5 Months

We've had a busy couple of months and Logan had a rough couple of months.
Wonder week 19 (the roughest of them all) showed up and caused all sorts of sleep trouble.
The four month vaccines caused a fever for a day, sore legs, and digestion problems for a week.
Here are his stats:
Weight: 16 lbs 1 oz (66th Percentile)
Height: 27.25 inches (99th Percentile)
Head Circumference: 43 cm (84th Percentile)

Sleeping
Like I mentioned earlier sleep was rough.
My angel baby was only taking 45 minute naps.
We moved him in with Jake at night and he started waking up early so we'd sneak him out and back to the pack and play.
Three weeks ago we started waking up multiple times at night.
We tried crying it out, feeding him, giving him the pacifier, pretty much everything we could think of and nothing seemed to work.
Finally at almost five months old he just stopped waking up and naps went back to normal!
He takes three naps now (Two are 1.5-2 hours long and the last one is about an hour) and sleeps from 7am-7pm.

Feeding
He was eating a lot during his rough patch so we started cereal.
The first few attempts he didn't eat much but now he is a pro and eats 1-2 Tbls at dinner time.
He has tried rice cereal, squash, green beans, and carrots.
He nurses 5 times a day and some nights needs a bottle at night too to tank up.

Playing
Logan is now rolling from belly to back.
He is really close to going the other way.
He'll twist onto his side but then goes back to his back.

He is super smiley still.
Even when he was waking up at night as soon as you'd go into the room he'd give you a huge smile.

He loves to put his hands in his mouth and chew on his fingers.
Any toy he gets his hands on also finds its way there.
He is getting really coordinated at grabbing toys.

He loves to be held.
If he gets fussy that is a guaranteed way to get him to calm down.

Logan also tried the exersaucer and Johnny jump up.
He doesn't jump but he does like to spin around in them.
He has also started the raking grasp to spin the toys attached to them.

He has actually liked being outside this month.
He will hang out in the stroller while Jake plays at the park and likes to go on walks.
That is as long as it isn't windy!

Your brother adores you.
He always wants to hug and kiss you.
With your new coordination you've tried to grab his face or shirt when he gets close!

I love you my smiley snuggle boy (especially when you sleep!)
I can't wait to see what next month brings!

Halloween 2015

Halloween was pretty straight forward this year.
Jake asked every day leading up to Halloween if it was time to go trick or treating.
He was bound and determined to hit as many houses as possible despite the cold rainy weather.
He quickly learned only houses with lights on have candy.
He liked to put the candy in his bucket himself and insisted on carrying his own bucket even if it was getting heavy.
