2018 Halloween

We had a few more Halloween festivities than we have in previous years.
The boys were invited to Halloween party.
They couldn't care less about the games but they loved the snacks!

The kids got Halloween presents from Nana Calder.
They loved those snot bubble glasses!

Jacob had a Halloween parade at school.
Logan really liked watching all the kids and Elsie barked at anyone in fur.

Elsie didn't care about trick or treating but she loved our candy bowl.
She also liked to crawl off the porch and "escape."

The boys loved trick or treating and were out for over an hour.
They refused to let anyone help with their buckets even when they got heavy!
Jenna came up and helped me take the kids out.

EMC:: 10 and 11 Months

Sleeping
No real changes here.
She is sleeping a solid 12 hours at night and taking two naps each day.
Each nap is 1.5-2.5 hours long.

She has extended her wake time between the two naps to 2.5 hours.

Feeding
I'm only nursing Elsie twice a day now (morning and evening).
She gets a bottle at night and drinks 2-4 oz.

We have ditched the pureed foods and moved solely to finger foods.
She loves to eat!
She eats three meals a day plus 1-2 snacks depending on how her naps go.

Playing
Just before 10 months she finally got her first tooth!
She has two bottom teeth now with the top ones really close to coming in.

She loves to wrestle!
She dives head first on her brothers, parents, and stuffed animals.

She loves to empty containers right now.

She isn't crawling yet but she is so close.
She started sitting up on her own from laying down this month too.
Right now she just rolls for awhile then sits up to see how far she has to go and then starts rolling again.

She is a mommy's girl!
She cries when I leave the room or if she sees me while someone else is holding her.

She loves to clap and pass us toys.
When we hold out our hand she will put a toy in it and then clap her hands.

She loves the bath and playing in water.

Weight: 32 lbs (56th Percentile)

Sleeping
Logan is sleeping 11-12 hours at night and takes one nap per day.
His nap is 1.5-2.5 hours long.
He usually has a hard time falling asleep at night though so I think the days of naps are coming to a close.

Feeding
Logan loves to eat and would eat all day long.
However, he usually tries to finish eating as fast as he can.
I feel like most nights he is done eating before I even sit down with my plate.
His favorite foods are peppers, yogurt, and peanut butter and honey sandwiches.

Playing
Logan has an amazing vocabulary and loves to talk.
He is usually scolding someone.
"Don't tell that to me"
"I already know"
He is loud and I'm constantly reminding him we are inside.

He loves to do imaginary play.
It is so fun to listen to him because he narrates the whole time he is playing.

He learned how to ride a balance bike and can balance for a pretty good stretch.

He loves to be outside.
He loves to run, climb, roll, explore, and chase birds.

He is still my most cuddly child.
He is always trying to sit on my lap and snuggle (while sucking his thumb).

He likes to read books.

He has actually started to color on paper.

He can do puzzles and build towers.

He is so sweet and sings to Elsie anytime she starts to cry.

He likes to bear his testimony at FHE and prepare a lesson.
His lessons include flipping through the gospel art kit book and spouting off church words like Baptism or Jesus.

Memorial Day at Happy Return

We planned a very last minute trip up to the Cabin
Very last minute as in an hour before we left!
Seems to be a trend for us lately but oh well!

We had a splendid time with family.
The kids got to play with my cousins.
We snuck in a couple hike and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

It was a wonderful trip up to Happy Return followed by delicious ribs at the Calders for Sunday dinner.
On Monday we did a lot more measuring and planning for our big concrete project.
That evening the Calders came up to give us their feedback and we had a fire and smores.
I love three day weekends!
