Calder Flu Epidemic of 2014

In case you couldn't tell by the title this may be a little too much information for you.
If that's the case all you need to know is Ryan and Jake got the stomach flu and somehow I made it out alive.
I'm pretty sure I have this mutation since I have a terrible immune system and usually get everything the boys bring home even if they don't.
If so I'm pretty lucky because what my boys went through was not fun!

I'm pretty sure Jake picked it up from church.
(figures the one week we can actually sit in class for all three hours he gets sick)
He woke up at midnight on Tuesday throwing up and he continued that pattern every hour and half for the rest of the night.
Ryan was a sweetheart and sleep in Jake's room with him so that I could get some sleep to make it through the next day.
Nothing is worse than seeing your little guy so sick.
He didn't really eat any solids and had runny diapers for a week!
Thankfully the vomiting part only lasted 36 hours.
I'm so grateful I am still nursing him because that is the only thing he would eat or drink other than a little water.
Ryan had the pleasure of waking up with it Thursday at midnight.
(I'm a believer in the 48 hours incubation time)
He followed the same pattern as Jake.
I spent the week doing tons of laundry and making sure they stayed hydrated and rested.

I think the only good thing that came from this is I didn't make my usual Super Bowl food since the boys were still recovering so it saved us all about 3000 calories!
Here's to hoping the stomach flu doesn't make an appearance at our house again.
