On June 10th I had a couple contractions in the evening but nothing consistent.
The following morning I had a few more contractions but I was at the park with Jake and they only happened after I'd done some quick walking or lifted Jake up.
That evening around 9 pm I started having some more consistent contractions about 10 minutes apart.
Around 10 pm I decided to at least go lay down in bed and hope to get some rest before a very long night.
At midnight I accepted the fact that I wasn't going to be able to sleep and that this baby was definitely coming.
I got up and started moving in hopes of speeding things up.
At 1 am I woke Ryan up and boy did he help me get through the contractions.
By 2 am the contractions were 7-8 minutes apart so Ryan called my amazing friend who was going to spend the night and take Jake in the morning.
Around 2:45 am we headed to the hospital.
I was dreading this part.
Sitting in the car for 20 minutes with contractions 5-6 minutes apart isn't exactly a fun thing to do.
But I made it and was able to walk up to the maternity ward.
I tried to make myself comfortable in triage since the last time it took them forever to admit that I was in labor.
It is so hard to get comfortable in there though when you can't move!
After about 20 minutes the resident doctor came in and measured me.
I was expecting to only be at a 5 since that is what happened with Jake but I was at a 9!
At the next contraction I felt like I needed to push so they just wheeled my bed right to the delivery room.
There was no time for my doctor to get there so I just had to wait for the on call doctor to arrive.
When she came they broke my water and after a few pushes I was holding our beautiful baby boy!
I didn't need any stitches and had been at the hospital for 55 minutes!
Logan Richard Calder was born on June 12 at 4:11 am.
He was 7 lbs 14 oz and 20.25" long just like his brother.
Around 8 am Ryan left to go pick up Jake and bring him to the hospital.
I was worried how Jake was going to react but he was so excited.
He kept wanting to hold Logan and touch his little hands.
He even tried to open Logan's eyes like he can with his doll at home.
My mom met us at the hospital later that morning and took Jake home for the rest of our time at the hospital.
We were much smarter this time around and left the hospital a day earlier and headed home on the 13th.
Seriously it is so hard to sleep at the hospital with all the "visitors" you get and the food is not that great.
Logan we are so blessed to have you as part of our family.
We love you so much and are so happy you are here safe and sound!
