EMC:: 4 Years

Elsie is spunky, imaginative, and loves to communicate.
She is becoming more independent and wants to do things herself.
She is great at imaginative play and loves to play dollhouse or princesses.
She is big into "cute and adorable" things.
She loves to get her hair done because she gets extra screen time.
She is really making an effort to be helpful with Jaylee and to try to include her when playing.
She is constantly talking and narratives her thoughts out loud.
She enjoys wrestling with Ryan, riding her scooter, and playing with friends.

Stats from CheckUp
Weight: 29.1 lbs (6th percentile)
Height: 39" (34th percentile)

We started Elsie's birthday off with presents.
This year she got a Snow White dress up costume, a pet shop play set, a Cinderella doll, Peppa Pig water bottle, and a backpack for school.
We followed up presents with cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

That morning we played with toys before getting lunch from Sonic.
After lunch we went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point.
Despite her expression in the picture we was excited to go and had a great time she just didn't want her picture taken.

The rest of the afternoon was filled with more playing.
She requested chicken pasta for dinner and an ice cream cake for dessert.

Happy Birthday Elsie!
We love having you in our family!

LRC:: 6 Years

Wow! It is hard to believe this bundle of energy is six!
Logan is so fun and loves to be around people.
He has lots of friends at school and is up for playing with anyone.
He has become a great little reader and math seems to come naturally to him.
He enjoys any kind of rough and tumble game but is becoming becoming a kind and gentle older brother.

 Stats From Checkup
Weight: 46.7 lbs (57th Percentile)
Height: 47.8" (88th Percentile)

For Logan's birthday he wanted blueberry muffins for breakfast and we opened presents first thing.
He got roller blades, Bowser's Lego Castle, a monster truck dirt track, and Super Wings characters.

Later that morning we took his friend Eli with us to Airborne.
They had a blast playing and running everywhere!
My cousins Clare and Ivy were in town so they joined us too.
After Airborne we picked up Sonic for lunch.

His afternoon included screen time and playing with his toys.
We had a picnic our back of homemade pizza.
He requested his funfetti cake that I had made a couple years ago.
He was so excited to get it again!

Happy Birthday Logan, we love you!!

JLC :: 12 Months

Stats from Checkup
Weight: 20 lbs 12 oz (64th Percentile)
Height: 29.25" (50th Percentile)
Head Circumference: 17.75" (54th Percentile)

Feeding
Jaylee is eating three meals a day and one snack.
She hates to be spoon fed and wants to be able to do it herself.
She loves bigger pieces that she can take a bite out of.
She will eat pretty much anything.
She loves vegetables, fruit, black beans, and eggs.

She is still nursing four times a day but we will start dropping a feeding a week.
She also gets a bottle with extra 4-6ozs at bedtime.

Sleeping
Jaylee is sleeping 12-13 hours each night and takes two naps a day.
Her naps are usually about 1.5 hours long.
She falls sleep on her stomach with her hands tucked underneath her.

Playing
Jaylee LOVES to be outside!
She loves going on walks and just being able to crawl around and explore.

She crawls and climbs onto everything!
Still not walking but she is making more of an attempt to stand by herself more often.
She loves to pull things out, especially when I'm cooking in the kitchen.

She has 8 teeth and is getting one molar.

She has the sweetest laugh and smile.

She plays the best when I sit on the floor by her.
She doesn't play with me but likes knowing I'm close.

She is saying quite a few words but not always consistently.
So far I've heard: hi, dada, mama, papa, no, all done, and bye.
She likes to mimic what we say.
She has copied some lines from songs (line up) and games the kids play (exed out!)

I can't believe this quarantine baby is one!
Her birthday was pretty chill but we did have family staying with us for Jacob's baptism.
We did presents in the morning.
She got a ride on car, water table and play piano.

We mostly just played around at the house.
We had chicken pasta and fruit pizza for dinner.
Jaylee was so excited about everyone singing to her but right at the end she noticed the candle and touched it.
She cried and cried and we really hard to console enough for her to eat dessert.
So she sat on my lap to eat her fruit pizza.

JPC :: 8 Years

Wow! I can not believe Jacob is 8!
He is the best kids a mother could ask for.
He is kind, helpful, and thoughtful.
I feel like if I mention something to him once He will do it the next time.
He will do acts of service by cleaning the house or entertaining a younger sibling.
He still loves to read and it is hard to keep our house stocked with enough books.
He enjoys playing outside and has started to get more brave about asking kids at the park to play.

For his birthday this year we started the morning out with presents and crepes.
Jacob got a pedometer, marble run, basketball, Super Mario legos, and new scriptures.

That morning Ryan took the three older kids to a new park during Jaylee's nap.
They picked up Jimmy Johns for lunch on the way home.

After lunch I took Jacob to the ropes course at the Curiosity Museum.
He wrapped up the day with lots of Super Mario Bros on the Wii.
We had homemade pizzas and ice cream cake for dinner.

Spring Break :: Las Vegas

 We drove down Sunday afternoon.
The kids did so good in the car!
We listen to conference, watched a movie, and they just played.

Monday morning Ryan took the older kids to the children's museum.
They all had a blast but loved the ball and water squirters the best!
We spent the afternoon at the pool before wrapping up the day at a local park.

Tuesday we hit the strip early to see the flamingo habitat before spending the bulk of the day at the pool.

We took an intermission from swimming (to the disappointment of the kids) to go back to the strip to watch the Bellagio fountains and check out the gardens.

After dinner we headed to Seven Magic Mountatins.

After tucking Jaylee in that night Ryan took the kids for one last swim before bed.

It was such a fun trip!
The kids (and mom) loved all the pool time.
The drive home went smooth as well.
We listened to an audio book, watched a movie, and played.
