Graduation

So I posted this before but when I went back through it today the post got deleted.  I don't know how it happened but I wanted to make sure I have this recorded.  After all it is a big deal and what better way to celebrate than with my 50th post! Graduation was great, just knowing that you have finished is a great feeling especially when there were times I didn't think I could do it.  We had all of our grandparents (except for one) and our whole families come up for the day.  It was great to celebrate with them.  After graduation we had a luncheon at a pavilion so that we didn't have to fight crowds at restaurants especially with our big group.  Now we are just waiting for our diplomas to come and make it official!

EDL Performance Awards

Today the Energy Dynamics Laboratory (EDL) had their annual performance awards.  

These awards represent the best employees at EDL and the winners are not announced before hand. 

Ryan's entire group won an outstanding performance award! 

I am so glad they were recognized because they have all worked so hard.  

Ryan definitely deserves this award and I could not be happier for him.  

He is also excited to have a plaque to add to our wall in our office.  

Now he just has to decide where to put it.  

He is torn because he wants to put it everywhere so he can see if all the time.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to the two women who helped us become us!

Ryan and I are so blessed to have two incredible women in our lives and we just wanted to honor them today.

Kris Calder:

Her name means "Follower of Christ"

I couldn't think of a better definition for this wonderful woman.

I asked Ryan what he thinks is the most important thing his mother has taught him.

He said, "Selfless Service!"

Ryan said is mom always puts herself last and is always looking to see what she can do for other people.

It is a quality that Ryan emulates so well and is one of the many reasons I fell in love with him and his family.

I have learned so much from her dedication to service through callings and in her own family.

Happy Mother's Day Mom.

Jacqueline Anderson:

My mother taught me the power of music and helped enstill in me a love of music.

I have considered it a blessing and a curse.

The curse being the many callings that few people can fill.

The blessing being able to teach others a love for music and bring the spirit into the meetings.

I am especially grateful for that gift today as I led the music in Sacrament meeting, filled in as Primary chorister, and accompanied the choir.

She put up with alot of complaints from me and my siblings growing up as she tried to teach us piano and now I look back grateful for her dedication.

Four Years Ago.....

Four years ago I started out on a new adventure called college.  I left my little desert in St. George and headed up to the frozen tundra of Logan.  I moved into my high class apartment in the towers with some wonderful roommates (yes I consider all the girls on my floor roommates) and couldn't believe I was actually on my own.  It was such a strange and exciting feeling. Now four years later I have some amazing friends, struggled through classes, married the love of my life and now I HAVE GRADUATED with my Bachelor's of Science in Biological Engineering. It still doesn't seem real.  I can't believe I will not be attending another class at Utah State and that my time in Logan is coming to an end.  I have absolutely love my time at USU.  It was one of the best decision I have made in my life.  Now as this chapter comes to a close I look forward to my new adventures in Madison but I will never forget all of the amazing experiences USU brought.  I just want to thank my family for all of the support they have given me, my friends for keeping my sane, and my great husband for all of the above! It has been a great four years!!!!!
