JPC:: 6 Years

Stats from Checkup:
Weight:
Height:

Wow! I can't believe I have been a mom for 6 years!
Jacob is a delight to have in the family.

This year we celebrated his birthday a day early with the Calders.
We went to the Tulip Festival and then everyone came over for dinner and strawberry shortcake.

On his actual birthday we did presents in the morning.
He got a remote control cat car, pj masks action figures with vehicles, pj masks pajamas, a pj masks coloring book, and new sandals.
Jenna took him on an outing to Boondocks and then to Arctic Circle for lunch.
After lunch Ryan and I took him and Logan swimming at the Lehi Rec Center.
We enjoyed dinner at home and more strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Jacob at 6 years old
Jacob is excelling in reading!
He can read beginning chapter books all by himself in one sitting.
He is on level 15 in Lexia (school reading program).
He can pretty much read any book he wants.
He is so sweet to read to Logan and Elsie sometimes too.

He loves to draw and write letters to people.
He stills loves crafting and art projects.

He is so competent on his bike.
He just learned how to pedal standing up so now he can make it up hills without walking his bike.

He is such a hard worker.
He keeps going until the job is done and is usually very willing to help.

He is such a kind brother and finds ways for Logan and Elsie to play with him.

He still has an amazing memory.

He likes to play with friends and made so many good friends in kindergarten.

She likes meat if it is covered in sauce.
She eats three meals and two snacks everyday.

Playing
Elsie has all her front teeth and one year old molars.
She is getting all four canine teeth right now and has been biting up a storm.

She is still a momma’s girl but gets really excited when Ryan comes home.

She gives great hugs and loves to give everyone one before she goes to bed.

She finally is walking everywhere!!!
She mastered that about a week before she turned 18 months.

She is great at following commands like “get your shoes” or “can you find your pad?”

She loves animals!
She snuggles stuffed animals during play.
Loves to read books about animals.
Gets really excited and starts barking anytime she sees a dog.

She doesn’t like to play without an adult present.

2018 Halloween

We had a few more Halloween festivities than we have in previous years.
The boys were invited to Halloween party.
They couldn't care less about the games but they loved the snacks!

The kids got Halloween presents from Nana Calder.
They loved those snot bubble glasses!

Jacob had a Halloween parade at school.
Logan really liked watching all the kids and Elsie barked at anyone in fur.

Elsie didn't care about trick or treating but she loved our candy bowl.
She also liked to crawl off the porch and "escape."

The boys loved trick or treating and were out for over an hour.
They refused to let anyone help with their buckets even when they got heavy!
Jenna came up and helped me take the kids out.

She is a mommy's girl!
She cries when I leave the room or if she sees me while someone else is holding her.

She loves to clap and pass us toys.
When we hold out our hand she will put a toy in it and then clap her hands.
