Fall Break 2021

For fall break this year we went back to Moab.
We decided to do this to celebrate the Yukon reaching 200,000 miles!

We left Thursday morning and drove straight to Moab.
We got ice cream and walked around the river path until it was time to check in to our hotel.
After we checked in the capacity had reduced at Arches National Park so we were able to get that afternoon.
We hiked to double arch and turret arch.
That night we ate food I had brought in the hotel and the boys spend at lot of time playing basketball.

On Friday morning we got up and headed straight to Canyonlands National Park.
We hiked to the Mesa Arch and hit a couple view points.
We tried to do a longer hike but everyone was getting tired so we didn't make it very far.
We were back at the hotel that afternoon for naps and rest time.
We played more basketball at the hotel that afternoon.
For dinner we picked up pizza and headed to a park.

On Saturday we checked out of the hotel and drove to Goblin Valley State Park.
This was a huge hit with the kids last year so we made sure to go again.
We spent the morning climbing and running.
We played hide and seek and ate a picnic lunch.
When everyone was tired we loaded up and drove home.

It was a wonderful trip and went according to plan.
It was miraculous that we didn't have to wait hours to get into any of the parks!

On our last day of fall break (Monday) we drove down to Jakers and let the kids pick our pumpkins.
Nana and Papa came over to meet us.
We didn't get to do this tradition last year so the kids were extra excited this year.
