JPC:: 4 Years

This is just a little update on Jake at 4 years old.

Stats from Checkup:
Height:  40.5 inches (61st Percentile)
Weight: 35.5 lbs (50th Percentile)

Jake loves to talk.
We've reached the endless questions phase.
After everything I say he always says, "how come?"
He still loves to sing and I'm so impressed with how fast he learns the songs in primary each week.
He will sing nonstop in the car some times.

Jake now enjoys playing with friends.
He loves playing with the neighbor kids and is asking if we can invite friends over.
He plays awesome with Logan and they both have gotten really good at sharing.

He loves to be outside.
He likes to dig in the dirt, help me weed, play at the park, and go on "speedy rides" on the hippo ride on toy.
He also enjoys bubbles and chalk.
This year he also found that sprinklers can actually be fun!

He loves to work on projects.
From helping around the house, working with tools with dad, or art projects.
He asks for me to print him worksheets daily.
He is amazing at helping to pack.
I can give him a list of things to go get and he'll bring them all in and put them in the bag.
He is creative and loves to glue, color, and make cards.

Jake stopped napping around 3.5 years old when he stopped sucking his thumb.
I was so impressed he just stopped cold turkey after I explained that sucking his thumb pushes his teeth out.
He gets pretty tired in the late afternoons and evenings (emotional) but then falls right to sleep at bedtime.

He has started to become more picky at mealtime.
Meals he used to love are now "disgusting"
He is still pretty good though about eating fruits and vegetables so maybe its just my cooking... haha

Jake is an amazing big brother.
He is so willing to help Logan and is usually really good about playing with him.
They love to wrestle together.
They both insist on giving each other a big hug before nap and bedtime.

I love watching Jake learn and grow!
He impresses me everyday with some new skill or his incredible memory!
