JPC:: 2 Years Old

I cannot believe I am the mother of a two year old!
It was so fun to celebrate this year since Jake actually understood more of what was going on.
He woke up to the front room full of presents.

He was having a great time riding on his new horse until he fell off and got a pretty good gash in his head.

Man those scalp wounds produce a lot of blood!
Thankfully it wasn't deep enough for stitches but it sure made me feel so bad the rest of the day.
It had a big impact on Jake because whenever I talked about how much fun we were having the rest of the day he would calmly remind me, "Jacob fall."
After the tears and the bleeding stopped we finished opening presents.
He loved all his gifts and played with them the rest of the morning.

After his nap we went to the zoo as a family.
Jake had so much fun sending us on a mission to find the turtle exhibit and showing all the animals his big stick!

After the zoo we went to dinner and we wanted to go somewhere that Jake would like so we went to Fuddruckers.
He talked about his hotdog from the time we left the zoo until it was ready to eat.

That evening we had "dirt cups" for dessert.

It was such a fun day (minus the head wound)!

As far as updates go we have quite the chatter box on our hands.
He is talking in two and three word sentences and always has something to say.
He knows all his colors and a lot of his letters.
He loves to "help" around the house and putting the silverware away is his favorite job.

He loves his dad and always asks to start watching for him about 30 minutes before Ryan gets home.

He enjoys reading books by himself and it is pretty rare that he actually wants me to read to him.
He is still obsessed with animals and each day we have to sit on the couch together with all his animals.
I love my little toddler boy!

Stats from Checkup
Height:  34.5" (62nd Percentile)
Weight:  27 lbs 3 oz (40th Percentile)
Head:  52 cm (They stop tracking this at 2 but since Jake still has a soft spot they measured)
